Let’s celebrate the Sweet 16th annual AEA Gala in full prom style at Parq West on May 2, 2020!
Our amazing teachers, staff, parents and students have created the wonderful Albert Einstein Academies Charter Schools that we all feel so lucky to be a part of. Let’s celebrate and support sixteen-years of this creative, caring, innovative, diverse and fun community.
The evening will include food and drinks, with a new full-bar and signature Pom Pom Prom beverage. The night will kick-off with the silent auction featuring donated items from our community, student art and, every kid’s favorite, the teacher outing experiences! Then, we’ll move into the always-exciting live auction. We’ll also enjoy some fun raffle opportunities, dessert and then we can cut a rug on the dance floor.
We’ll have an opportunity drawing, with tickets on sale during the night of the event for $10 each. Don’t miss your chance to win!
**Ticket sales will begin on March 2, 2020.**

We are looking for auction items!
Do you know how we raise money for all of the amazing programs and campus improvements at our schools? It’s from the kind donations that come from our community! We’re looking for businesses (local or from afar) to donate items to the gala, including:
• gift cards
• special experiences
• monetary donations
Some examples from previous donors include live auction items like:
• Waypoint Public, who donated a dinner for 10 in their private Bear Den room
• Mike Hess Brewing, who kindly donated a private brewing session
• Other silent auction items included spa experiences, product swag bags, dinner experiences and tickets to local events.
What is the Gala?
Friends of Albert Einstein Academies (FoAEA) is the Parent-Teacher organization at Albert Einstein Academies Elementary and Middle schools. The gala is FoAEA’s biggest event of the year. It will raise over 30% of our annual monies. Basically it’s a big party! There is food, socializing, a full bar, music, and live and silent auctions. You can come to the party and enjoy yourself and eat and not spend any more money or you can bid on packages. The auction is a big part of the money raised, but the night is about so much more.
When is the Gala?
Saturday, May 2nd at 5pm (till 10-ish pm) at the Parq West event venue located in Bankers Hill. 2557 Third Ave, San Diego, CA 92103
Everyone! Come alone, with a friend, your partner or a group of parents.
What should I wear?
Since this is the 16th annual gala, this year’s theme is based on a sweet 16 prom theme (not decade specific). If that means 50s, go for it! If you prefer the 80’s, heck yes! And if these aren’t your jam, just wear something festive and party. Just come and have fun. There’s always a range from fancy to casual and it works!
Do I have to dance?
Dancing is totally optional (and maybe hilarious).
How do I purchase tickets?
Online ticket sales will begin March 2, 2020. You can also purchase tickets on both campuses, just look for FoAEA members holding signs.
What is the fundraising goal?
This event raises about 30% of all money raised for the year.
What is the money raised used for?
The money raised at the auction helps support the many essential programs at Albert Einstein Academies including music, gardening, art, field trips and interns. Basically, the money is used for the kids.
Are kids invited?
The gala is an adult-only event. This is a time for AEA parents, family, and staff to get together, have some fun, and raise money for those important programs that we’ve come to expect from our school.
